New Suvretta Spa & Wellness Area from December 2025

The magical landscape surrounding the high plateau above St. Moritz has always provided the perfect setting for relaxation and wellness. Now, the legendary Suvretta House is taking its spa experience to a new level: from April 2025, the spa area will be extensively renovated and partially rebuilt. The Swiss architectural firm Ritter Schumacher will carry out the work, and its design will continue the Suvretta House's unmistakable identity.

During the construction work, the hotel will remain closed for the 2025 summer and autumn season.

It will reopen at the start of the 2025/2026 winter season on 5 December 2025.

More space, more design, more innovation - and the same breathtaking views of the Engadine mountains. In the future, Suvretta House guests can look forward to a completely new wellness world that combines the beauty of the surroundings with more spacious architecture and state-of-the-art facilities. In keeping with Suvretta House's claim "For Generations to come since 1912", the new spa offering is based on sustainability and a long-term approach, so that guests and visitors can enjoy soothing experiences in a forward-looking and resource-conserving way.

Construction work on the renovation of the spa area will begin on 1st April 2025. It will be led by Swiss architects Ritter Schumacher. Ritter Schumacher's spaces combine aesthetics, functionality and sustainability to create bespoke solutions that meet both the needs of the users and the requirements of the environment. The Suvretta House Spa will be expanded over three levels as part of the renovation. The first level will include a spacious new reception area with a hair salon and nail bar, a yoga room and a completely new fitness area, both of which will open onto the yoga terrace with spectacular views of the landscape. State-of-the-art treatment rooms, changing rooms and experience showers complete the wellness experience.

The combination of indoors and outdoors, the union of unique nature and sophisticated interiors, is a core element of the concept that guarantees relaxation for body and mind. On the second level, guests can enjoy a wellness experience with brand-new facilities in an exclusive women's spa and a mixed spa area with steam baths, sauna landscape and beautifully designed relaxation areas with views of the Graubünden mountains, as well as an outdoor cold pool in a courtyard that offers refreshment in the midst of nature in both winter and summer.

Younger guests will also enjoy more space in the enlarged and modernised Kiddy Club. The ultimate water experience dominates the design of the third floor. Here you will find the completely renovated pool area with a 25-metre swimming pool, a new children's pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi and a new outdoor pool with a sunbathing bubble function. Relaxation after a sauna or water sports can be found in the extended sunbathing area in the hotel garden and an additional relaxation room with fantastic views.

A new Kneipp facility has been added. The new FEKA system uses green, renewable energy to power the new outdoor pool. The experience of looking out over the unspoilt Engadine landscape from the warm, bubbling whirlpool and outdoor pool is just one of the many emotions that the new spa area at Suvretta House will convey to its guests.
