Art Exhibition – Gallery Elle “Manner”

This summer, Galerie Elle is showing new works by American artists Ian Fisher and Beau Carey. Both artists who have made it their life’s work to capture nature in its most beautiful form. Just like their masters before them. And of course contemporary painters have their own way of doing things, thanks to decades of art and social history that gave them the freedom to capture landscapes as they see fit.
Carey and Fisher are very much in dialogue with these early artists. Their methods may be different, but their subjects – the mountains and clouds of Colorado and New Mexico – are essentially the same as ever. So is the emotional charge they both pack into the work, even if their technique demands that we read it differently. And that’s what makes their landscape painting so much more interesting today – magical.
