«Amusements on the Lake» St. Moritz

There are numerous attractions that St. Moritz guests can look forward to this coming January and February.

At the heart of the “Amusements on the Lake” is an ice rink roughly one kilometre long, which is prepared each day for ice skaters. In addition, as in previous years, the standardized 400-meter track will be prepared, upon which the Swiss speed skating championships will take place in January. A cross-country ski trail that leads across the lake and winter hiking trails are also part of this experience. But that´s not all: If the situation allows, guests can also look forward to an ice hockey rink, a curling rink and a small village with deck chairs, beach chairs, music and food stands. There are also plans to offer lessons in skijoring, a winter sport in which a skier lets himself be pulled on a rope by a horse. It is a tradition on Lake St. Moritz that goes back a century and is celebrated at the annual horse races.
